About this item

  • EXCEPTIONAL COMFORT. The Jabra Evolve2 40 was designed to be comfortable, even for all day. The ear cushions are made of memory foam, which is shape conforming. The speakers swivel to get the right angle, and the headband is generously padded on the sides and across the top. Very comfortable headset
  • PROFESSIONAL SOUND. When on important business calls, you need professional sound. The Evolver2 40 comes with 3 noise canceling microphones which deliver clear, consistent and professional sound. No worries about clipping, static, cutting in and out, fading or anything else. Just loud and clear.
  • NOISE REDUCTION. Anytime you’re on a voice or video call, you don’t want your callers hearing all the sounds going on in your background. It’s just disruptive, and can be an unneeded distraction. Fortunately, the Evolve2 40 does a superb job of removing noise, and keeps noise off your calls.

  • BUSYLIGHTS INCLUDED. Interruptions are one of those things that are simply not appreciated, especially when you’re on important calls. The Evolve2 40 comes with integrated busylights that are visible from all angles to alert those around you, that you’re on a call, and not to interrupt

We not only talk about the Evolve2 40 features, but we do sound and noise reduction tests which can help you make your buying decision, especially if sound quality, and removing noise is important to you.

jabra evolve2 40 variants

So whether you use Microsoft Teams, RingCentral, Zoom or any of the other popular UC software applications, or prefer one wearing style over another, the Jabra Evolve2 40 is bound to meet your needs.

No complicated setup

Unlike some headsets that can be confusing to set up, the Jabra Evolve2 40 keeps things easy. In fact, super easy. And isn't that better than the alternative?

Besides easy setup, you need comfort

Who likes wearing an uncomfortable headset? Simple question with an easy answer; nobody. Fortunately, you don't have to wonder if the Jabra Evolve2 40 is comfortable to wear.

Count on the Evolve2 40 to give you a comfortable wearing experience

The design and engineering team at Jabra took out all the stops when they designed the Evolve2 40. It gives you the kind of comfort you need when wearing a headset for long periods of time. And you can toss that bottle of Tylenol in your desk drawer because you won't be needing it anymore when you wear this headset.

The Jabra Evolve2 40 comes with ear cushions that are made from memory foam. This foam material conforms to the shape of your ears, for a custom fit, and also helps to dampen distracting room noise. Less noise, and a perfect fit, a winning combination.

The headband wasn't overlooked

No matter where this headband comes in contact with your head, you're greeted with super soft padding. Nothing harsh like the feel of cold steel against your head. You're treated to padding that keeps you comfortable during those long calls, and throughout the day.

Quality sound starts with quality components

When you're on important voice or video calls, you want to be heard loud, clear and consistent. And you surely don't want your callers hearing the noises going on in your background. In both cases, you'll appreciate the sound quality on the Evolve2 40.

Not only will you sound great on your calls, but that background noise will be put in its place; off your calls.

If you watched our review video, you heard how it sounds, and you also heard how it handles background noise. In both cases, the performance is well above average, and arguably premium grade. So when sound quality matters, trust the Jabra Evolve2 40 to deliver.

Smart boom

Besides the microphone boom containing noise canceling microphones, it also contains a couple of tricks that helps to put it in the smart category.

woman wearing a jabra evolve2 40, and two evolve2 40 headsets showing raising and lowering the boom will mute and unmute the microphone, and dropping it down answers an incoming call.

Need to mute the microphone to have a quick side conversation while you're on a call? No problem. Maybe you need to mute the microphone to cough, take a sip of coffee, or take a quick call on your mobile phone. No problem.

You can mute the microphone by pressing the mute button, or you can raise or lower the microphone boom arm to do the same thing. You can even take an incoming call just by lowering the boom arm for those applications that support that feature.

Whether you use this feature or not, it's available, and it's convenient.

Background noise averted

We've all been there. You're focused on something important when you suddenly get distracted by some noise going on in the background. Distractions like those can interrupt your concentration, and have a negative affect on worker productivity.

The Jabra Evolve2 40 utilizes memory foam which is more sound absorbing than the normal foam material typically used in headsets. It provides for a more comfortable wearing experience, and a quieter one too.

Besides the memory foam, the Evolve2 40 was specially designed to help divert sound. It was made to give you a more comfortable, quiet experience which is important, especially if you wear a headset all day long.

Interruptions avoided

Keeping noise down is one thing, but keeping interruptions downs is another.

The Jabra Evolve2 40 comes with integrated busylights that are visible from all angles.

It can be awkward to get interrupted while in the middle of a conversation or meeting. The Jabra Evolve2 40 busylights help to alert those around you that you're on a call, and unavailable.

If you can eliminate, or minimize interruptions, you'll have better meetings and get more done.

Speakers that give you the range

Granted, the Jabra Evolve2 40 is a business headset. And because of that, it's primary purpose is to give you a great business oriented headset experience. Still, Jabra weaved into this headset some speaker sound quality that's impressive. No, I'm not referring to Bose type speaker quality, but keeping things in context, for a business caliber headset, the Jabra Evolve2 40 does a great job with music.

Leak tolerant 40mm speakers work in tandem with Jabra's most advanced digital chipset they've ever used in headsets. This synergy is apparent when you hear how good these ear speakers sound. That's a nice bonus when you feel like listening to some music while at work.

UC compatible is UC versatile

A headset is only as good as its ability to work with your company software. The Jabra Evolve2 40 is universally compatible with all the leading UC software applications.

The Evolve2 40 comes in Microsoft Teams, or UC variants to better meet your specific connection requirements.

If Microsoft Teams is your main platform for voice and video communications, then the Microsoft Teams variant is what you should order.

If you uses Teams, but you also use other applications such as RingCentral, Zoom or others, the order the UC version would make the most sense.

Whichever application you use, rest assured that the Jabra Evolve2 40 will work with it.

Very Comfortable

Purchased this headset for working at home and I must say the headset is very comfortable and the sound quality is great!

Hi Derek, glad you're enjoying the new headset :) thank you for your feedback.

so far, great headset for home office work

I work from home full time and usually have one to three meetings per day. I also access a computer using screen reading software which means I'm wearing these pretty much the entire work day. The on-ear pads are very comfortable. There's a wide range of adjustment which is really nice. My only minor gripe is that while not pinching much on the head, I get just a little bit of discomfort where my glasses sit on my ears by the end of the day sometimes. Given the way the headband is built in the middle, I'm not confident how far I could try to bend them outwards to deal with this. That said, they are very comfortable to wear 99 times out of 100. I also really like the shape of the ear pads.

The sound quality is reliable and excellent. The passive noise isolation is great. I sometimes share my home office space with my wife and she can be having a normal conversation behind me and while I can hear her, I'm not distracted and can't really hear what she's saying. The noise cancellation provided by the microphone is great. I played a few recordings of myself and I don't hear any background from our furnace running or my dog rolling around in the background. No one has ever complained about background noise on calls with me. I have the USBC variant and connect it to my work computer through a dock. I've never had any connectivity issues.

To summarize, I can highly recommend these if you are looking for a comfortable set that you can wear all day, don't need active noise cancellation in the speakers, and are looking for a wired headset.
